IE users having problems veiwing blog
ANYONE viewing "some notes on living" using the browser Internet Explorer will only be able to view the first post. All side bar links are missing. This is NOT a problem for Mac Users , Firefox Users or other browsers. All browsers built off the Linex system are not having problems. This only effects Internet Explorer Browsers and it seems to be hit or miss....I will be contacting Blogger. There is a script error. To view this blog error free, you can download Firefox.

I'm curious if the problem shows up in IE7 as well as IE6. IE7 does a better job of supporting CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) than IE6 does. I am on a Mac, but if there are some Windows users viewing the blog, they could help get the problem resolved by posting what their version numbers are and whether they are experiencing the difficulty.
Firefox is part of the Free Software Movement. The FSM is the revolution on your hard drive. It is software which is purely open, the source code is freely available, the EULA is written to maximize freedom rather than limit it.
Load Firefox, for starters. Then try Open Office and get rid of M$ Office. When you are ready, gird your loins and dump Windoze for a clean and stable Linux distribution.
You won't regret it.
Well i am just glad DK and Christopher noticed it and told me about it cause didn't have a clue , luckily another friend was able to send a scree shot of the error..and what a freakin goose chase to contact blogger , so it could be awhile ...and I to am curious what versions of IE are having the probs. I think above 7.1 is not having them.

Have you considered moving to Wordpress? I started out on Blogger and grew to hate it.
A friend and longtime blogger nudged me to move my blog to Wordpress. I'm so glad I did it!
They have wonderful, free and responsive customer support and the program is very easy to use.
Christopher, i know, many a friend has told me about the wonders and fantastic benefits of wordpress and i see em and believe. I am in love though with my template !! Its love i tell you. Plus some one built it for my I am computer ILLITERATE. and a lazy blogger too boot ! so i will likely stubbornly cling to the familiar for awhile at any rate. But yes it has been raised more then once. Wordpress. It is a great blogging module. Plus i am like so many a creature of habit , big time
anarchopagan: You are making a good point about Firefox. I'm using it to view this blog on my Mac. Firefox is far preferable to IE for me on any platform, since the extensions make it possible to have a huge variety of features commercial software cannot hope to provide.
Anyone still using IE doesn't deserve to see your blog. It's sorta like the old fogies who were afraid of color TV, then cable TV frightened them, then it was stereo, then Hi-Def and digital. Take a step into the 21st Century folks, the water's fine - unless you count what Bush has been doing to us - but technology is alright unless you're still relying on Bill Gates for everything.
UGH i hear people including some contributers on like our ChloeElise is having problems viewing the blog - She uses IE 7.0 and Vista - this is a sucky sitch. I am not happy about this at all but really do not know what i am gonna do about it. As i said i am barely literate in blogger module, love my template.(its soo perty) and HOPE the MAN gets the IE problem fixed. Hang in there people.

It's junk, and it's a Microsoft product, which makes it even worse.
Fairlane You just made my day - people if anyone is not familiar with Fairlane and the JONESTOWN crew check em out over on the sidebar...oh geeze dang they are linked ..but apparently some are missing IT ! Are they better than IE?
Can I run my blog with them? My blog is enormous now with thousands of threads and tens-of-thousands of comments.
Will everything work with Firefox or Opera?
Christopher , totally ask nytexan about that as BB is a Wordpress Module - i am not qualified to answer. But from what i hear on the internet highways Firefox works just fabulously for MANY - i was fearful at first as Safari a mac browser came with the computer. Once i got used to FF well i cannot imagine using anything else. Others with more knowledge may have more to offer.
And Robert I gotta say Your Picture Makes me grin -just love seeing it - can i ask u a personal question ???? are U one of those liberal moonbats intent on destroying america i have heard soooo much about? You know the ones the Rush Limbaugh hates sooooo much ?
I definetely have my suspicions, but you know one just cannot judge a moonbat ,i mean book , now i mean person, by their avitar.

Firefox runs far more efficient and is more secure that IE. Most people on worpdpress.com use Firefox because it is more stable. Also no themes are written with IE they are only test for them. So themes are more stable for Firefox users.
Also on my blog only IE users have issues with loading the page or slow loads.
So I would would highly recommend downloading Firefox.
I have not used IE or Outlook for 7 years.
I stopped using IE years ago, and there MUST be better browsers for PC users anyway...
Since I use a MAC, I use both Safari & Firefox. The bookmarks appeared automatically in both programs...
Firefox/Mozilla does have a PC version, too! The version you want depends on your system.
PS: I also go to a website running Wordpress. It's fine, but the site I go to is quite simple. I don't know its extra glories -v- Blogger

I dropped Microsoft years ago, bagged it all, went to Linux and never looked back. Never had a virus since, never had a BSOD.
Linux users groups exist in virtually every major city. They can help you transition to linux. It is worth it!
Ouch! Robert and Fairlane, man... that was harsh. Okay...I'll change it. I just don't have time to be looking into all that stuff. I'll get right on it though.

OK geniuses, here's an idiotic question from a true dummy: WHY did your blog problems only start a few days ago? WHAT is different? WHAT happened that all of sudden made it go all squirrelly? Listen, I have no idea about 1/2 the fixes you're talking about, but I DO wonder when something just goes POOF, what caused it to happen right then? (kind of like the california energy crisis I lived through, but that's too long a story) ...
oh & I repeat, only YOUR blog, PPROG, changed like this, lost its content, haven't seen it elsewhere. ok, maybe I am too dumb to understand.
DK woman of the Oak, dammit ! it just figures ITs only my blog. It just figures. perhaps it is an internal script error on ONLY MY BLOG. Drat, i will need to further consult with my mentors. This is indeed a twisted turn of events. And at the moment to tell you the truth i haven't a freakin clue. (not an unusual state for me, but none the less very troubling in this case) Chloe has a great post in the hopper, for one thing and i want to publish it !! and we had mondo conflicts its her post but we had to work around what we thought were IE conflicts so the template says its written by me.
*But all that aside..maybe it is a problem particular to a script error in MY BLOG. working on it people thats all i can tell ya for now..hang in there,please. Notes will only be a yr old in March. Its just a babbee.
